They wanted the buggy but not the horse. Perth County OPP say that a buggy was stolen from the Milverton Stables overnight on Saturday January 28th, yet left the horse tied up, unharmed.
Police say the the horse and buggy were left in the stables, which are behind the firehall, at 7pm Saturday night. When the owners returned at 7am, the buggy was missing, but the the horse tied up. The harnesses and blankets were also unaccounted for.
The owner and the OPP conducted an extensive search throughout Milverton but were unable to find the rig.
The buggy is described as a four wheeled open style black buggy with no obvious distinguishing marks. Anyone who may have come across an abandoned buggy or who knows its whereabouts is requested to contact the Perth County OPP.
